The preparation period for patients considering nose aesthetics surgery/rhinoplasty is not only about informing them about the procedure and soothing their concerns.
The photos taken before the operation help us plan the changes that will be made during surgery and understand the expectations of the patient.
Simulation and reconstruction procedures (such as Photoshop) allow us to determine the image we want to obtain after surgery and reach an agreement with the patient who is going to undergo surgery. These created images help us find out about one’s expectations and help the person to discover their own taste.
Nose aesthetics surgery /rhinoplasty is not only a procedure where the shape of the nose is changed. As I emphasize since my first days in this practice, I always try to provide a “breathing beauty” to my patients.
In this regard, I try to identify the corrections that need to be done inside the nose which the person may not be aware of and include these corrections into planning as well.
When we reach a realistic consensus satisfying our expectations and plans, we record it and move on to the next stage, to discuss potential problems that we may encounter.
As in every surgery, nose aesthetics/rhinoplasty has its own risks and these risks are universal.
In the pre-operative interviews, I emphasize the following: If you know what to expect from rhinoplasty, you will reach your expectations easily.
